Proper measurement is vital to properly fitted waist beads. If you suck in your stomach while measuring your beads may end up being too tight and uncomfortable. Please keep in mind that when you eat your stomach will expand a bit, so you should give yourself a little room for this to happen comfortably.
Steps to successful measuring:
- Measure where you want to wear the beads. This means if you want to wear them high, then measure high on your waist. If you want to wear them in the middle, then measure right at your belly button. If you want to wear them low, then measure around your hips where your hip (pelvic) bones are.
- Please make sure you RELAX your abdominal muscles. DO NOT SUCK IN YOUR BELLY!
- Hold the measuring tape flat against your body. Make sure it is snug, but not tight. You want the tape to me able to move, just as you want your beads to move. Once you have it snug check to see if you can comfortably stick two fingers (fingertips touching your skin) into the measuring tape. If you cannot stick your fingers in, then loosen it up until you can.
- Write down the measurement and always round up to give yourself a little extra room. For example, if you measure yourself and come out with 34 and 3/4" then round up to 35.
